How to prepare for exams to score well

Before starting with the topic i want to say that exams are no way gonna test your knowledge and intelligence. It is about how you present your paper in the given time limit. You don't actually have to top to get a degree certificate or to get anything..but i will always suggest to aim high so atleast you will end up with satisfying results. These days students hold too many degrees but very little commonsense. So, i would like to take this oppurtunity to say that live life by following your passion and enjoy every second of it.

Okay, getting to the point, depending on the syllabus and the toughness of the exam planning should be made.
For any entrance or any competitive exam ,i believe one year of preparation is must and necessary to achieve good result.
Briefly, here is how the planning should be made
Syllabus
Resources
Preparation
Revision
Important questions
Previous year papers
Mock tests
Relaxation

KNOWING THE SYLLABUS
Students often tend to make a mistake here. Take any subject for example be it history, biology, maths etc has levels of standard.right? You know a 12 year old studies maths and also a 15 year old but the syllabus ,the standard, the complication of the subject is different. Confining to the syllabus is important. Underdoing and overdoing always harmful.so stick to the syllabus. Get a written or printed copy of the syllabus.

ARRANGING RESOURCES
After knowing your syllabus,it is time for you to get resources. Resources include classnotes, books suggested by your teachers, any references and surfing the internet. Classnotes are always important and plays a very major role. If you donot have then get xeroxed from your friends. It is really very helpful. Trust me. If you cannot get it. ..not to worry you anyways get information from internet.
Then using all the resources you have to prepare your own notes for each topic. I repeat EACH TOPIC... important ..less important everything that is there in the syllabus. If you are doubtful about your notes get it checked by your teachers or anyone who is good at studies. Take your own time. Prepare perfect notes..be patient..don't be in a hurry

PLANNING DAILY ROUTINE
Now as you have everything, you should start your preparation. I donot suggest as to how many hours you should study in a day as it varies from person to person. It can be 2 to 3 hrs for some and 8 to 12 hrs for others. So never compare yourself with others and get discouraged. Always remember hardwork pays. Try to give your best.
And as you start your preparation a year before so you will have enough time . So study from roots, right from basics, understand and learn every concept and be thorough with them. As they help you further in your studies. After you done with your basics then go with the concepts..learn a concept, then revise it, then do questions related to it. After every 2 or 3 concepts take a break .And again when you sit back to study give 5 to 10 minutes revising the concepts that you have already studied and then move to the next. Don't dump yourself with too many concepts in a single day. Don't be too ambitious. Go steadily, gradually and eventually you will learn all of them.
While preparing , mark important and less important and unimportant concepts , then start with the important ones and move to the next. My suggestion is that donot skip any concept. Give them atleast a single read. And try to learn them too. It is not possible to complete in a single day so allot one month for each subject or depending upon the number of concepts and its importance give them time accordingly.

REVISION
When you are done with your preparation that is learning all concepts, solving questions related to each concept, and clearing all doubts then it is time to revise. I believe revision is must to score well in the exams. Without proper revision your preparation is incomplete. See to it that you give atleast 3 to 4 revisions for each subject.
Revision is a quick glance to every concept that you studied before. Make sure that you are done with your revision a month before tbe exams. During revision clear your doubts ..be thorough with your concepts and learn any left out topic or that you are unsure.

IMPORTANT QUESTIONS
So this is to be done exactly a month before the exams. I mean after you done with your revision. You will have important questions for each topic topic . So study them . While going through important questions if you find anything that you think have no idea then get back to your preparation study the concept well, revise them properly and again get back to the question.

PREVIOUS YEAR QUESTIONS
Few Questions get repeated every year. May or may be the sentence formation changes but the concept is the same. Try to solve as many question papers as possible within your syllabus.

MOCK TESTS
Take mock tests as they help you to polish your knowledge. After every mock test go through the questions you went wrong and try to learn them properly again and be clear. Mock tests helps you with the time management..so do take as many mock tests as possible

A day before exams
As you have come so far with your studies you actually have nothing left to do on that day. Early in the morning just give a quick revision of all concepts. And by afternoon you should close your preparation. You have done your best so it is time for you to leave the rest and just relax. Don't eat spicy food, relax by watching tv or movies or listening to songs spending time with family and going out.
Just have a good sleep as healthy mind works wonders.

Finally exams are just part of your life. They are not your life. Your life is of more worth than exams. Even if you think you didnot do well just leave it and move on. Exams donot decide how your life should be in the future. Life is all about oppurtunities and everytime you miss out one there is other waiting for you right in the moment or pops out sometime later but definitely. Learn that possibilities are endless.

ABOUT ME

Welcome to Unparalleled opinions I'm a college going girl doing my undergraduation in humanities.Ok now you know me right?no? That's fine, you will get to know me better when we start this journey of sharing opinions with each other. Are you excited? I can hear you saying Yes! Let's begin. For years , I wanted to do this to share every possible thing that needs attention. I feel there are such things in the society that need to be heard, discussed rather leaving unnoticed. But i didn't actually make any efforts to do so. I had lots of ideas and dreams, but they never made it out of my head and on to the page. Because i was waiting for the PERFECT TIME. I realised lately that THERE'S NEVER PERFECT TIME , STOP WAITING FOR IT. The word perfect is just non existent in this real life. We are all humans . We tend to make mistakes and learn from them to grow as a better person. It is a process. A process which you eventually grow or learn through the path of experience

THE JOURNEY OF SUCCESS

"Successful people don't fear failure but understand that it's necessary to learn and grow from" - Robert kiyosaki Everyone aspires for a successful life. The bug for having success never dies until we achieve one;It is the driving force. The journey of success could be simple and easy or difficult and tough. Fearing the journey one should never stop walking through it. Nothing matters anymore when you reach your destination. The immense happiness of your success makes everything that you have gone through to fade away. The journey teaches you a lot many things. LIFE LESSONS. You discover, adapt and evolve as new person: a confident, responsible person. The journey can break you or make you. You should decide which one to choose. When you set a goal, stick to it no matter what and channel all your energy towards your goal:you get tired, exhausted and feel like quitting but never give up instead get up, stand strong on your feet and continue the journey.
